Just over two years ago , my husband and I moved from Maui Hawaii to Northern California
( why did we do that ?...... )
and on our way we went to Europe for 2 months, since all our stuff was in storage , visiting France and Italy.
We spent a good part of our time on a couple of farm/homesteads , me doing gardening and my husband doing woodwork , in trade for staying with these very fun , sweet and generous folks , staying in amazing old , ancient really , stone houses and working on our french all the while ... We went through the organization, WWOOF . I also did this kind of traveling 10+ years ago when I went to England for 6 weeks and Ireland for 4 months. I've also traveled to Bali , Thailand, New Zealand , Hawaii many times , Mexico , Guatemala , needless to say , I've got the travel bug pretty bad.. I've been daydreaming of traveling again lately . I would love nothing more than to get on a plane and fly some gorgeous place in the Mediterranean , camera in tow , and just wander . Since we moved here 2 years ago , the farthest I've gone is to San Francisco which is only about an hour away. Anyway, I was looking through my Europe pictures last night and decided to revive some of them from my archives.so here they are ... we can armchair travel together :)

Opusculum paedagogum. The pears are not viols, Nudes or bottles.They resemble nothing else.
They are yellow forms Composed of curves Bulging toward the base. They are touched red.

They are not flat surfaces Having curved outlines.They are round . Tapering toward the top.

In the way they are modelled There are bits of blue.A hard dry leaf hangs . From the stem.

The yellow glistens.It glistens with various yellows,Citrons, oranges and greens Flowering over the skin.

The shadows of the pears Are blobs on the green cloth. The pears are not seen. As the observer wills.

Meet Marseille ♥

 

Our new cat 'Marseille' that we got from our local humane society , the name they gave her was 'Baby' since she was small compared to the other cats ,but she's far too smart for that name ... She is really the sweetest thing ever with so much personality. She is so talkative first thing in the morning , and playful and loves to be held and on someones lap anytime.

 

We named her 'Marseille' because after we had her home for a couple days we remembered she sort of looked like this picture of a cat I took a picture of in Marseilles France when we were there a couple years ago... and turns out she's like the exact cat ! here's the french version of our cat.
Marseilles looks just like this picture when we turn on the popcorn maker, it's pretty funny :)
We love her so much and are so happy we have her in our lives ♥

Some pictures from our last visit to SF. Never a dull moment in this colorful city !!

I'm deep in house rearranging this week, feels good to change things up a bit.
Also we are going to the Humane society today to adopt a cat... which we are both so excited about ! We have moved a lot in the last 5 years and are feeling pretty settled here so it's a good time . I'll definitely post pics as soon as we get him or her home ... :)
