Birds on the Wind - California Coast

A windy, misty and bright sunny day at the coast in Northern California. Huge waves rolling in, powerful just to sit and listen.

Foggy California Coast

Escaping the 90 degree heat in Sebastopol, at the coast for the day, so refreshing ;) So quiet. The sweet smell of the lupines and lots of wildflowers in bloom.

So busy looking at rocks....

Mornings at Blackwater

Mornings at Blackwater

For years, every morning, I drank
from Blackwater Pond.
It was flavored with oak leaves and also, no doubt,
the feet of ducks.

And always it assuaged me
from the dry bowl of the very far past.

What I want to say is
that the past is the past,
and the present is what your life is,
and you are capable
of choosing what that will be,
darling citizen.

So come to the pond,
or the river of your imagination,
or the harbor of your longing,

and put your lips to the world.
And live
your life.

Boat yard

 

 

Driving by the boat yard the other day on the way to a hike on the beach I saw the fishermen bringing in their crab pots and selling crab on the dock. I had to stop to get some pics of the blue ropes and buoys : )

Just took these yesterday :) this time of year is so pretty here, subtle colors of early spring.
